Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is a museum and community center in San Clemente, CA featuring the work of American artist Edward Kienholz. Casa Romantica was the site of Kienholz's first public art installation, "The Monument to the Third International," which was originally installed in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in 1969. In 1973, Kienholz relocated to San Clemente and built Casa Romantica in order to display his work. The building is a former funeral home built in 1906 by George Hanson, which was purchased by Kienholz and converted into a museum.

The house was built in the 1920s by architect Arthur Benton who lived there with his wife, Lillian. The couple had no children but they did have many pets including a pet raccoon named "Moses." After Arthur's death in 1948, Lillian continued to live there until her passing in 1961 at which time the house was purchased and turned into a restaurant called Casa Romantica Mexican Restaurant.
In 1978 the property was purchased by Michael Kelly and Paul Vidal who restored it as a bed & breakfast inn with unique rustic Mexican style architecture and decor
