ACCIDENT: Whittier on June 18, 2021

Hit & Run Driver Strikes Hydrant, Lands on Parked Car

 

Around 12:45 a.m. Friday morning, authorities were called to the scene of a hit-and-run driver.

At the 15800 block of Whittier Blvd, a vehicle took out a street pole and a fire hydrant before going airborne and landing on the back of a parked car in front of Casanova Furniture. When authorities arrived, the vehicle was abandoned and a 20 foot spray of water spewed into the street. The water was shut off by 2 a.m.

Information regarding the suspect is unknown.
