Around 2:15 a.m., a convertible Corvette slammed into a backyard pool after being airborne, killing two of the three occupants in the two-seater car.
The crash occurred near the junction of Schaefer Avenue and Alicia Way. The vehicle had collided with the center median before entering the backyard. All three individuals were ejected from the car. A 21 year old woman died at the scene. A 27 year old man and another 23 year old woman were transported to a local hospital where the man later died from his injuries. The woman remains in critical condition.
The corner where the Corvette left the road is known for cars screaching and hitting the curbs in both directions. In this case, the cause of the accident is under investigation.
