Southeast San Clemente is located in the southeastern portion of San Clemente, California. The neighborhood is bordered by Interstate 5, El Camino Real and Avenida Pico. Several parks can be found in this neighborhood including San Clemente High School park, Lake Catherine, and Gilbert Carrasco Park. The history of the neighborhood can be traced back to 1956 when the land was used for ranching purposes. Afterward, it was developed into a residential community on July 25, 1962. A number of local events are held in Southeast San Clemente such as Cherry Blossom Festival and Autumnfest.
