Forster Ranch encompasses over 1,000 acres of southern California coastal hills, just north of San Clemente, CA. It is a working cattle ranch that provides a variety of services. Forster Ranch offers horseback riding and carriage rides, lodging in its bed and breakfast, an on-site restaurant and bar, training courses for riders of all ages and levels, horse boarding, trail riding, and guided trips into the wilderness. The property also hosts special events such as weddings and corporate retreats. Other activities include a pumpkin patch, summer camp, haunted hayride tours (in October), and Santa's Village (during the holidays).

The Ranch was established in 1869; descendants of its founders still work the ranch today. The history is evident in the original buildings that remain on the property. Buildings are available for rental year-round or can be reserved for special events such as weddings and parties.

The Ranch is a beautiful San Clemente, California, a community located just minutes from the Pacific Ocean. It features stunning views of the coastal mountains as well as the San Diego skyline. Forster Ranch offers some of the area's most stunning custom homes for sale, and with prices starting at $1 million, it is one of the most exclusive communities in all of Orange County.

Colonial-style homes line quiet streets in Forster Ranch while unobstructed views show off the community's scenic location. Most homes are single-story structures featuring three to five bedrooms and three to four bathrooms. The finest homes have been built with attention-to-detail architecture including wood-burning fireplaces and hardwood flooring.

Forster Ranch homes were designed with indoor/outdoor living in mind. Homeowners can enjoy the beautiful scenery and California weather year-round on their private patios. Some properties feature swimming pools to keep residents cool during the summer months, while others are set right along the nearby San Diego River bed. This provides additional space for recreation as well as a natural buffer against any noise from nearby Interstate 5.

The largest of the Irvine Ranch's remaining tracts of undeveloped land, Forster Ranch is a 6,000-acre property located just north of San Clemente. This open space wilderness area provides habitat for numerous species of plants and animals, including the endangered coastal California gnatcatcher.

Conveniently located near the I-5 Freeway, Forster Ranch provides opportunities to hike through coastal sage scrub and dune habitat that is rich in wildlife. Visit Forster Ranch today to experience this beautiful San Diego County treasure.

The Ranch is the location of the historic 1857 Ranch House in San Clemente, CA. The house is located at the south end of Forster Ranch Road, which was originally a single-lane dirt road that connected San Clemente to Dana Point, CA.
