Cox Sports Park is a large, multi-use sports park in the San Juan Capistrano area. It has fields for soccer, baseball, softball and kickball, as well as a playground, picnic area, batting cages and a volleyball court. The park is located at the corner of Camino Capistrano and Ortega Highway and is owned by the city of San Juan Capistrano.
Cox Sports Park contains four baseball fields, two of which are lighted for night play. The park also offers batting cages for baseball and softball players to improve their skills. The park's first field was dedicated on July 20, 2001. In 2002 the city of San Juan Capistrano invested $200,000 into renovations of Cox Sports Park's second field by installing half-mile synthetic turf to provide safe playing surfaces for athletic activity year-round.
