Cox Sports Park is a large, multi-use sports park in the San Juan Capistrano area. It has fields for soccer, baseball, softball and kickball, as well as a playground, picnic area, batting cages and a volleyball court. The park is located at the corner of Camino Capistrano and Ortega Highway and is owned by the city of San Juan Capistrano.

Cox Sports Park contains four baseball fields, two of which are lighted for night play. The park also offers batting cages for baseball and softball players to improve their skills. A spectator's viewing area is available near one of the two lighted fields. Restrooms are open at all times during the day while the gates to the sports park are open.

The park's first field was dedicated on July 20, 2001. In 2002 the city of San Juan Capistrano invested $200,000 into renovations of Cox Sports Park's second field by installing half-mile synthetic turf to provide safe playing surfaces for athletic activity year-round.

The park offers both baseball and softball leagues year-round, as well as hosting tournaments. Visitors are welcome to use the facilities on a drop-in basis, but reservations are required for tournaments in order to ensure that the fields can be kept safe and clean.

The part features eight lighted fields with seating for up to 4,000 people. The parking lot has room for approximately 600 vehicles, though additional parking is available along nearby streets.

Cox Sports Park also has two indoor batting cages, which can be rented for private use during off-hours or on weekends when the center is closed to the general public. These cages are not available for group rentals.*
