Around 5:40 pm on Monday on the southbound I-215 near Clinton Keith Road, Elliott Uhrich of Murrieta was fatally injured while riding in the back of a medical supply van which collided with another vehicle.
According to reports, the cargo van, traveling at about 60 mph encountered traffic and braked causing the vehicle to veer to the right shoulder where it collided with a parked 2009 Nissan Maxima. The Maxima was occupied by a 30-year-old Temecula man who was not hurt.
The driver of the van, 47-year-old Angel Pineda of Murrieta, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Rancho Springs Medical Center in Temecula.
Ulliott Uhrich was 75.
