ACCIDENT: Baldwin Hills on June 26, 2021

Suv Driver Crashes Into Baldwin Hills House, Killing a Woman Inside

 

An incident which began around 1:20 am ended when an SUV crashed into a house in Baldwin Hills, severing a gas line, and killing an 86-year-old-woman and seriously injuring a 93-year-old man.

The couple, Aida Villavicencio and her husband, had been married for 66 years.

The incident began earlier when the SUV rear-ended a police cruiser while on patrol at Hobart Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The SUV fled northbound on Western Avenue and officers pursued. It ended with the car crashing into the home near 39th St & Buckingham Road.

Paulina Zamudio who also lives in the home with her parents was not injured.

The driver of the SUV was identified as 26-year-old Eliseo Ixchopcalel.  He was injured and taken to the hospital.  He was also booked on gross vehicular manslaughter charges.
