North Beach is a neighborhood in the San Clemente, California area. It is the northernmost beach community in San Clemente and is adjacent to the San Diego County line.
Tucked between the north end of San Onofre State Beach and the community of Capistrano Beach, North Beach lies within the city limits of San Clemente and is home to approximately 668 homes. The community's streets are paved, but most are not maintained by the city and are therefore lined with sand as well. As a result, vehicles must travel with care away from North Beach's main thoroughfares because sand drifts can make roads unexpectedly difficult to traverse at times. North Beach consists primarily of single-family residences, but there are a few condominium developments located on Capistrano Road near San Onofre State Beach.
North Beach was developed in 1955 by real estate developer James W. McLaughlin Sr., who also built Monarch Bay in Dana Point and Leucadia's Sunset Cliffs.[1] The name "North Beach" was chosen to reflect its location between Monarch Bay and Capistrano Beach.
North Beach has some of the best spots to enjoy a beach day. The San Clemente pier is located at the north end of the beach, and it is a great place to hang out. This is where you will find the Lazy Pier Café. It offers an amazing view of the ocean.
N. Beach is also home to one of San Clemente's most popular surf breaks, Corona Del Mar State Beach. This area is well known for its amazing surfing conditions, however, it can get crowded on summer days. It is a perfect spot for beginning surfers because the waves are generally smaller in height than other beaches in Orange County.
A trip to N. Beach wouldn't be complete without a stop at The Sandbar Mexican Grill. This place has some of the best ceviche and enchiladas, and you can watch the ocean while you eat!
Finally, if you are looking for a great place to take a walk on the beach, then this is probably the spot for you. There are many places where you can access the beach from Pacific Coast Highway, so have fun walking along or just taking in the views.
The North Beach area of San Clemente is one of the most popular places to live in Orange County, California. The neighborhood is known for its quaint, beach-town feel and family-oriented atmosphere. It has narrow streets lined with old-growth trees and is home to thousands of people who enjoy all that this part of town has to offer.
