Person Killed After Motorcycle Accident in Cerritos

 

On Sunday morning at approximately 2:35 a.m. on the 91 Artesia Freeway westbound, west of Shoemaker Avenue, a motorcyclist was killed.

The motorcyclist was riding his 2008 Yamaha R6 in the carpool lane when it veered to the right adjacent lane where there was a 2013 Ford and the two collided.

The motorcyclist, 37-year-old Anthony Tyrone Boyd Jr. of Long Beach, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the party bus has been identified as 61-year-old Padashi Cyrus of Arcadia.

No arrests have been made and authorities are investigating.

Norco: Hit-and-run Car Crash on Interstate 15 at Hidden Valley Parkway

 

Around 3:50 pm on Thursday, an alleged hit-and-run occurred involving two vehicles.  The cars collided on the northbound side of Interstate 15 at Hidden Valley Parkway.

The incident involved a gray Honda Clarity and another vehicle that fled the scene after the crash.

At least one person was injured.

An investigation is underway as to the cause of the collision and the identity of the hit-and-run vehicle.

Huntington Beach Bicyclist Killed in Collision With Alleged DUI Driver

 

Around 1:35 pm Thursday, a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in Huntington Beach and died.

It is believed the bicyclist failed to yield to a traffic signal while crossing PCH at 1st Street.  He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.  He has been identified as John Crouch, 68, of Huntington Beach.

The vehicle, a 2007 silver Toyota Yaris that was heading west, is believed to have been driven by a man who was intoxicated.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.  His identity has not been released.  The driver, described as being 23 years old and from Bloomington, remained at the scene and has cooperated with the investigation.

Passenger Seriously Hurt in Brea Crash, Driver Suspected of Dui

 

On Sunday around 4:20 pm, a Hyundai Sonata crashed while attempting to make a left turn from Valencia Avenue onto westbound Santa Fe Road in Brea.

As the vehicle slammed into a tree, a woman sitting in the passenger seat was launched from the sedan and suffered serious injuries.  She was immediately transported to the UC Irvine Medical Center.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and booked on suspicion of felony DUI.

The passenger remained in the hospital in recovery on Monday.  The driver's and passenger's names, both in their 20's, have not been released.

One Killed, at Least 2 Injured After Multi-vehicle Crash in Reseda

 

A driver was killed and two others were taken to the hospital in what has been described as a violet multi-vehicle car wreck Sunday night.

The collision took place just after 8 p.m. on North Corbin Avenue just north of Saticoy Street and involved at least nine vehicles, 4 in the crash and 5 parked cars.

Video caught on home security shows a separated engine block on fire rolling down the street.

It was reported that a driver was speeding on Corbin Avenue, lost control of his vehicle, and crossed into oncoming traffic slamming head-on into another vehicle. That driver, a 25 to 30 year old man, died at the scene.

Witnesses reported impromptu street racing may have been involved in the crash.

Pedestrian Hit, Injured by Vehicle at Sandy Drive and Grace Lane

 

Around 7:20 pm Friday, a traffic collision was reported near the intersection of Sandy Drive and West Grace Lane in the neighborhood of Canyon Country in Santa Clarita, just west of the Sierra Highway.

The accident caused one pedestrian to be transported to the hospital.  The condition of the patient is unknown at the time of this report.

Public’s Help Sought to Id Hit-and-run Driver Who Left 2 Children Critically Injured in Watts

 

On May 9th at about 2:45 in the afternoon, a car heading southbound on Compton Avenue hit two 8-year-old girls crossing the street just south of East 92nd Street. The driver did not stop and continued at a high rate of speed.

A security camera captured the vehicle and showed it to be a black or maroon Chevrolet Cruze.

Kimberlin Gonzalez, 8, was one of the two girls hit. She remains brave as she recovers but still finds it painful to move.

Investigators have released a photo and video of the vehicle. Police continue to search for the hit-and-run suspect.

A Gray Toyota Rav4 Slammed Into the Back of a Black Honda Civic

 

At approximately 11:10 a.m. Wednesday morning on the 710 Freeway near Alondra Boulevard, a traffic collision took place and a woman was hurt.

It was reported that a gray Toyota RAV4 slammed into the back of a black Honda Civic. Both cars suffered major damage, the Honda in the rear and the Toyota in the front.  The woman who was injured was riding in the Toyota.

The accident is under investigation as to how and why the collision took place.

Corona Motorcyclist Killed in Riverside Crash

 

Around 2:18 am, heading west on Indiana Ave. in Riverside, a Ford truck struck the back of Harley-Davidson motorcycle.  The motorcyclist was a 55-year-old man from Corona.  The incident took place near Van Buren Boulevard.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Riverside police are asking anyone with further information to contact them.

Four-car Collision Stops Traffic on Southbound 14, 2 Injured

 

Around 3:24 pm Saturday on Highway 14 near Soledad Canyon Road, a two-vehicle crash brought traffic to a standstill on the southbound lanes.

The crash involved two pickup trucks - one person may have been ejected from a vehicle.  Two people were transported to a trauma center in critical condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
